※The number of applicants for three Faculties: Economics, Business Administration, Communication Studies, includes the number of applicants entering through "the Entrance Examinations for International Students by Designated Japanese Language School's Recommendation." ※Admission capacity for the Entrance Examinations for International Students includes both Tokyo Keizai University's Examination Areas and EJU (Examination for Japanese University Admission for International Students) Areas. Selection be made after taking into consideration of all applicants and their total scores of two areas of examination: the one for The Tokyo Keizai University's Examination Area, and the other for EJU Area ※Applicants should take either one of the two examinations, not the both at the same time.

Qualifications for Application

The Tokyo Keizai University's Examination Area (specialized for international students)

Applicants should require the qualifications below and need to be 18 or older as of March 2020.

  1. Those who have completed twelve years of school education in foreign countries or those who attained as the same level of education at a school designated by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology.
  2. Those who have a status of residence as student under the Immigration Control and Refugee Recognition Act.
  3. Those who meet a satisfactory ability in Japanese preferably N2 level or above by the Japanese-Language Proficiency Test. (There is no need of submission.)
EJU (Examination for Japanese University Admission for International Students) Area

Applicants should require the qualifications below and need to be 18 or older as of March 2020.

  1. Those who have completed twelve years of school education in foreign countries or those who attained as the same level of education at a school designated by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology.
  2. Those who have a status of residence as student under the Immigration Control and Refugee Recognition Act.
  3. Those who took EJU in Japan on any of the following dates in June, November of 2018, in June, November of 2019.
  4. The Results of English test below taken within 2 years from the last day of the application period.
    English Test
    TOEFL iBT score of 35 or above
    TOEIC (L&R) score of 400 or above
    IELTS (Academic)score of 3.5 or above
※The TOEIC-IP score is not approved as a test that satisfies the requirement. ※The scores of EJU and English Test should be a total of each examination only, not the total of each highest ability point of subjects skills taken at multiple times of examinations.

The Tokyo Keizai University's Examination Area (specialized for international students)

    Ⅰ.Japanese (100 points, 60 minutes)
    Ⅱ.English (100 points, 60 minutes)
  3. Interview (Two Interviewers per Examinee, 10 minutes)
EJU (Examination for Japanese University Admission for International Students) Area
  1. Screening Application Documents
  2. EJU "Japanese" (Reading comprehension, Listening and Listening-reading comprehension, Writing 450 points)
  3. Interview (Two Interviewers per Examinee, 10 minutes)
※Each standard points is placed for English,Japanese and Interview Test at the Tokyo Keizai University's Examination Areas; and for Japanese and Interview Test for EJU. Those who do not meet the standard points are not accepted.
